Electrical Technology (Electricity)

    Electrical Technology is an instructional program that prepares individuals to become residential, commercial, and industrial electricians or technicians.  It includes the design, development, installation, testing and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equip­ment.  From wiring a residential single-family home, to installing the large switchgear, conduits, wiring and data systems in a multi-million dollar commercial building, to the system installation, analysis, design, and troubleshooting of industrial automated control systems with programmable logic controller’s, variable frequency drives and robotics, program graduates are prepared for a wide range of employment opportunities.  Emphasis is given to preparing graduates to become certified electricians by attaining the Journeyman Electrical License.

 

Two-Year Technical Certificate in Electrical Technology

The two-year technical certificate is for those individuals who want the electrical training and certification without taking general education courses.
