The Finance Club at Pittsburg State University was formed by the finance faculty and finance majors in order to promote activities that foster the intellectual and career development of finance students. The Finance Club has a faculty advisor, but is run by the students who elect their own officers. The primary purpose of the Club is to foster faculty-student interaction, and raise money for and organize trips to visit the financial markets of such cities as Kansas City, Chicago, and New York. These trips provide students with invaluable real-world insights into the operation of financial markets, and help instill in students a sense of excitement about the world of finance.
