Suggestion Award Program

State employees have an array of ideas on how to improve state government and many employees receive recognition for their productive suggestions.

Employees can receive a one-time cash award if their suggestion is adopted. The total gross value of the award shall be ten percent of the actual documented cost reduction of the first 12 months of implementation of the suggestion, up to a maximum of $37,500. All awards must be included in the employee¼s regular paycheck.

Employees may join others to submit ideas. Teamwork can pay dividends for those who work together to invent better ways to do a job.

Submitting a suggestion is easy. Complete the Employee Suggestion Program Form and send to Human Resource Services, 204 Russ Hall.
