Steps to earning an IKE Certification
Step 1
Register for IKE
To register for IKE. Submit your name and PSU ID # to Julia Helminiak or Brenda Hawkins in the International Programs & Services Offices.
You will then be added to the IKE group in Angel. This will be where you submit required documents upon completion of different components or activities to work toward completion of a component.
Step 2
Work towards completing two of the three components of IKE
Students must complete two of three components. The components are study abroad, academic course work, and co-curricular activities and events. For more information on what is required for each return to main page.
Students must submit the forms & essays required by the program for their activities to be counted toward completion of components and the IKE program.
Step 3
Complete the program
Once a student believes he/she has completed the program, the student should send an email through Angel to the program adminstrators. They will check the components and confirm that the student has finished the program.
Students who complete the academic component along with another component with receive a notation on their transcript.
Students can continue to participate in events and courses beyond the required amount. This will be noted on their IKE certificate that they receive when they complete the program.
Step 4
Celebrate completion
Pittsburg State will host a completion ceremony at the end of each semester for IKE to celebrate our students that are internationally focused.
