ACADEMIC INTERESTS AND CLASSES TAUGHT |
Dr. Art Fischer is a University Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing, and has been on the faculty at Pittsburg State University since 1988.
He holds a BA from Westminster College, an MHA from Baylor University, and an MBA and Ph.D. from the University of Missouri. He teaches or has taught courses in Organizational Theory and Behavior, International Business, Introduction to Business, Human Resource Management and Business Government and Society at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Dr. Fischer is a FELLOW with the American College of Healthcare Executives, and is a retired healthcare executive. He has also helped develop seminars for the American College of Health Care Executives. He is affiliated with numerous school and university committees, and he is a member of Rotary International.
He has published in the Journal of Enterprise Education, the European Business Review, the Journal of Healthcare Marketing, the Academy of Strategic and Organizational Leadership Journal, the Journal of Business Case Studies, and the Journal of Private Enterprise, among others. He was selected as the Outstanding Teacher in the Kelce College of Business for 1995, 1998 and 2005. He has been a strong supporter of the PSU Students In Free Enterprise chapter. He is a continuing member of the SIFE Business Advisory Board, and has helped with numerous SIFE projects throughout the last fifteen years. |
