A student studying Marketing at the Kelce College of Business graduates with a deep understanding of the customer, the primary revenue stream for companies, and the knowledge and skills to compete in today’s fast-paced world of business. The Kelce College of Business is host to the student organization known as Enactus. This community of student, academic, and business leaders provides you with an extraordinary opportunity to apply business concepts in a meaningful and competitive manner. Pittsburg State’s Enactus team project was named “Best in the Nation” at the 2017 Enactus U.S. National Exposition.

Marketing graduates are in high demand. Our graduates are qualified to work in a variety of for-profit and non-profit fields. Firms that have recently employed our graduates include: Cerner, New York Life, Zappos, Federal Reserve Bank, Aflac, Wal-Mart, Advantage Sales and Marketing, and Sherwin Williams.

The median annual wage for marketing professionals is $127,560 per year according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Employment is expected to grow 9 percent between now and 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.

 

Students will have many opportunities for internships and research. Past projects include market research for regional municipal organizations and for-profit industries. Students are responsible for securing individual internships. Faculty advisors will provide guidance and provide information on earning credit.
