The International Teaching minor is designed for the education major who is interested in a career teaching outside of the United States. The primary goal of the minor is to prepare competent, committed, caring professionals to teach and serve the needs of students and schools in an international setting. This minor does not lead to a Kansas teaching license or endorsement.
EDUC 308 Specialized Clinical Experience requires the student to teach in an international setting (outside of US) for a minimum of 10 days - 80 hours.
Students should work with the program advisor and the PSU Office of International Services to secure an international school in which to teach. Non-English speaking countries are preferred, but not excluded.

The department offers Alternative Teaching Licensure programs in Special Education and Secondary Education. Certificates that lead to an endorsement to a teaching license in a variety of educational areas are available.
