Overview


The District Leadership Graduate Certificate program is a 15-hour non-degree, licensure program in partial fulfillment for the requirements for a Kansas District Leadership License. All of the courses may be applied to the Educational Specialist Degree (EdS) in Advanced Studies in Leadership emphasis in General school Administration. Financial aid is available for the fall and spring semesters only.

Admission Requirements:

  • Candidate must hold a bachelor's and master's degree
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in master's degree program
  • Hold a valid Building Administrator License
  1. Apply for the District Leadership Graduate Certificate through the Office of Graduate Studies
  2. Submit an Official Transcript
  3. Student must petition for completion of the certificate program during the last semester of coursework 

Students may enter the program in the Fall Semester Only.

Most graduates of this program serve as a School District Superintendent or an Assistant School District Superintendent. Other graduates lead educational organizations both profit and nonprofit.
